Open Forum for additional nominations is now open

Dear Colleague,

The 47th annual European Physical Society (EPS) Conference on Plasma Physics will be held in Sitges, Spain from 21st to 25th June 2021.

On behalf of the Programme Committee Chair, Dr Gerardo Giruzzi, we are delighted to invite a fresh tranche of nominations for plenary and invited speakers.

The Open Forum is now open for new plenary and invited talk proposals here:

The deadline for proposals is 30th October 2020.

As you know, the 2020 edition of the conference was postponed by one year, to 2021, as a response to COVID. The great majority of selected plenary and invited speakers for 2020 have already agreed to deliver their presentations in 2021, with suitable updates, and it is not necessary for them to respond to the present call.

The Programme Committee is strongly committed to offering a fully up-to-date programme which includes the most important research results obtained in recent months. For this reason, the working schedule of the conference has been extended, to create opportunities for a limited number of additional plenary and invited talks, in particular focused on the most recent results.

Please be aware that members of the Programme Committee or of the EPS Plasma Physics Division Board are not eligible to be nominated for invited or plenary talks. They are all, of course, eligible to submit contributed papers later, in early 2021. Moreover, a specific speaker cannot be invited if he or she has already been an invited speaker in the preceding two conferences.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sitges in June 2021.

Best regards,

EPS2020 Local Organizing Committee &
EPS European Physical Society Plasma Physics Division Board
